- University buildings pose an interesting challenge for contemporary architecture. The seven liberal arts have long ago been joined by countless other faculties and departments. This branching out of knowledge requires a specialization of its structures which play a role in the transmission of learning and the creation of new knowledge. In addition, subjects of interconnectivity and sustainability on campuses step into focus together with the multimedia requirements imposed by modern universities.
